Everest Base Camp Trek with Sleepover at EBC: A Himalayan Dream

The Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek is one of the world’s most iconic trekking adventures. Standing at the foot of the world’s tallest mountain—Mount Everest at 8,848.86 meters —this journey is more than just a trek; it’s a pilgrimage for adventurers.

From Lukla, trekkers follow a trail through Sherpa villages, dense rhododendron forests, and alongside thundering rivers, gradually ascending through famous waypoints like Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, and Lobuche.

The trek is physically demanding but immensely rewarding. Along the way, trekkers are treated to jaw-dropping views of Himalayan giants such as Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse and finally Everest itself. Acclimatization days are built in to allow the body to adjust.

Sleeping at Everest Base Camp

While most trekking itineraries return to Gorak Shep (the nearest settlement) after a short visit to EBC, we are proud to offer a rare chance to sleep overnight at Everest Base Camp—a truly unforgettable experience.

Surrounded by towering peaks, crackling glaciers, and fluttering prayer flags, there’s a silence at night broken only by the groans of shifting ice. We offer this trip through the climbing season to allow customers to experience the atmosphere at base camp. It is alive with the buzz of climbers from around the globe, their colourful tents scattered like confetti across the glacier.

With no light pollution, the sky becomes a dazzling dome of stars. At sunrise, the first golden light touches the tip of Everest and slowly spills down the slopes—one of the most breath taking sights imaginable.

Why It’s Worth It

Spending the night at Everest Base Camp offers a rare sense of closeness to the world’s highest mountain. It’s not just about the scenery—it’s about the achievement, the camaraderie with fellow trekkers and climbers, and the once-in-a-lifetime chance to fall asleep beneath the stars at the foot of Everest.

Whether you’re an adventurer or a dreamer, this night will stay with you forever.
