Baruntse has received the alpine grading of a 3D+.
The route consists of some technical climbs and glacier routes. There is a tricky 50 degree ice wall to climb before camp 1 and an ice cliff at around 7000m.
Baruntse requires climbers to have a very high fitness level and a strong mindset to get them to the top.
Customers must have high altitude experience and preferably technical experience on a 6000m + mountain such as Island Peak, Lobuche or similar. More technical climbing at lower altitudes would also be accepted.
If you are unsure if you have the skills required for this climb please contact us and a member of the team will advise you.
